2021 List Highlights 300 Young Entrepreneurs and Trailblazers Who Are Leading the Charge in The New Normal
SINGAPORE (April 20, 2021) – Forbes announced today its sixth annual “30 Under 30 Asia” list, featuring 300 young entrepreneurs, leaders and trailblazers across Asia, all under the age of 30, who are braving the challenging environment brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic and finding new opportunities amidst the new normal. The Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia Class of 2021 features bright and innovative millennial and Gen Z leaders who have persevered and thrived despite global uncertainty, with 30 honorees selected for each of the 10 categories. The categories are The Arts; Entertainment & Sports; Finance & Venture Capital; Media, Marketing & Advertising; Retail & E-Commerce; Enterprise Technology; Industry, Manufacturing & Energy; Healthcare & Science; Social Impact and Consumer Technology.
Among those featured on this year’s list are K-pop singer Ji-eun Lee “IU” and actor Joo-hyuk Nam from South Korea; the current world No. 1 ranked women’s singles table tennis player Chen Meng from China; indigenous rapper Danzal Baker “Baker Boy” from Australia; Sazzad Hossain, founder of SDI Academy from Singapore; Hong Kong singer Jackson Wang; Indian teenage influencer Jannat Rahmani; Carmina Bayombong, Cofounder of InvestEd Philippines which provides educational loans to financially disadvantaged youth in the Philippines; May Nagahisa, Ballerina at Mariinsky Theater from Japan and India’s Pranav Bajaj, Cofounder of Medulance Healthcare which provides an Uber-like ambulance booking service.

Selected from over 2,500 nominations, researched by Forbes journalists from across the region and vetted by industry veterans, this select group of relentless individuals are disrupting industries and tackling major global issues. The criteria for honorees making the list include their demonstration of leadership, how they embody the entrepreneurial spirit that is synonymous with Forbes, and their potential of success in their industry. Other factors like innovation, disruption – and size and growth of their ventures in some categories – play a role in making the final decision.
