The World Health Summit, a leading global health conference and network of civil society, academia, politics and the private sector, will take place as a fully digital, interactive conference with a free-to-view programme.
With a call for stronger and more effective cross-border, cross-sector cooperation, WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and an array of WHO leaders and experts will speak at the Summit.
The central topics of the Summit are:
- Pandemic Preparedness in the Age of COVID-19: Global Cooperation not Competition
- Strengthening the Role of the European Union in Global Health
- Climate Change and Global Health: Risks and Response
- Partnership for the Goals: United Nations' 75th Anniversary
- Accelerating the SDG3 Global Action Plan for Health and Well-being
At the Summit, WHO will seek to enhance the global network across all sectors for:
- transforming and strengthening health systems and services;
- increasing investment in COVID-19 innovation, research and solutions;
- ensuring expanded equal access to quality and affordable medicines and medical products; and
- accelerating the evolution of digital health.
